Our strength is inextricably intertwined with our numbers. As the working people of this country, our numbers are many. And the billionaire class are few. The strength of our movement will come from our ability to unify, mobilize and act in decentralized synchronicity.
Many of our communities are mobilizing fiercely against ICE. A resistance is springing forth in cities and towns across this country. #EyesOnICE simply offers an umbrella under which all of our resistances can organize and stand together in solidarity. Just like a corporation becomes more powerful by merging with other corporations to monopolize the market, we will become more powerful in our demands by merging our protest movements together.
Right now, each of our resistances is like a patch for a quilt. We must sew the patches of our resistances together to create the quilt (a quilt that will smother the flames of fascism enveloping this country). #EyesOnICE can be the thread that stitches our quilt together...similar in a way to #TeslaTakedown.
There are a couple of communities that have adopted #EyesOnICE. But we need more to join us. Make it peaceful, but otherwise make it yours and join us under the umbrella of #EyesOnICE.
